Time with friends

It never fails. When I spend time with friends I always gain perspective on my life. I feel that they see me how I am and how I would like to be. Sometimes life is difficult if you have to make judgments about things as they are happening. Your feelings can get you swept up in a wave of emotion that will wash away any logic that you would normally apply. My friends help me see this when it happens and that is invaluable.

Yesterday, I spent time with Marc. I traveled to Phoenixville, PA where he lives. We went out to lunch for shakes and burgers at a spot called ‘Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger”. It was fantastic. Later pool, then downtown to Ortlieb’s for jazz. We got to see , Jimmy Cobb who played with Miles Davis and John Coltrane. To witness a living legend in the jazz world is unbelievable.

But the best part of the whole thing was that I was with my friend.

Ps/ As mentioned so wonderfully above, “Your feelings can get you swept up in a wave of emotion that will wash away any logic that you would normally apply.”
